Greedy managers

My family and I rented an apartment in August of 2003. When we initally planned to rent an apartment we requested bottom floor. They did not have any we asked if we could be placed on a list to be contacted when the next 1st floor apartment was available. The manager begged us to go look at a 2nd floor apartment we gave in and after we looked at it she stated that it was available and there was no telling how long it would be until a 1st floor apartment was available. She insinuated that if we did not take that apartment we might not get moved within the next 6 months. We moved in and within a month we were having problems with the guy below us if my daughter so much as got up to go to the bathroom at night he would hit the ceiling with something and scare her so bad she would start crying. to make a long story short this went on for a few months, until we recieved an eviction notice for disturbing the peace (none of the other neighbors had complained). the neighbor had even called the cops a few times, each time the cop on duty agreed with us that he was just being rude.
finally we had to end up moving becauce the manager was so greedy to get her commision she did not concider how moving us above a single guy would effect our family. we ending up moving in November of the same year because we were being harassed everyday by the guy below us and the managers would do nothing. There we other problems during this time as well. The bathroom ligt would not come on half the time you would have to flip the switch a dozen times beofre it would work. It took them forever to check it then they filled out a form stating it was fixed but it never was fixed. it must have been and electrical problem in the wall.
Lake Ned would be a great place to live if you be careful what your getting into the complex itself was great.
