maintenence sucks!!

I moved into berkshires because I was limited to where I could have a 40 pound dog. There was me, my daughter, my roommate and her 2 children. We went in and signed the lease then the agent walked us to our "new home". I was so disgusted when I opened the door. There was 10 people still working inside. The walls were wet with paint. They were still cleaning. But the worst thing was - they knowingly let us sign our lease when the a/c didn't even work. We were told once we entered the apt. The maintence manager told me to leave it off then in the morning turn it on. If it still didn't work then they'd get us a window unit until they could fix the problem. Did it but it didn't help. Then they said they didn't have a window unit available. We moved in at the beginning of Aug. It was over 90 degrees in the apt. and there were 2 small children who have asthma. They didn't care. Finally I went to the office raising my voice and telling them I was calling "8 or your side" the news show while people were signing leases and I got my window unit. 5 days after that they put in a new a/c unit and the a/c guys told the maintence manager there was a leak from upstairs and black mold everywhere behind the inside unit. They told us we could spray the mold with bleach but he did nothing once again. Then a week and a half after that the kids closet was completly flooded. Furniture and all was ruined. I lived there when I was pregnant 5 years ago when it was Winter Oaks. I loved it so that's why we went back. I wouldn't recomment the, now Berkshires, to my worst of enemies.
