We lived there for a 7 month lease from Nov- June. In June we moved to a seemingly nicer neighborhood. The only thing we really didn?t like about Winter Oaks was the neighborhood. All the apartments had nice landscaping right around the doors but the rest were sidewalks and of course the drive, so you basically just saw concrete and asphalt. The way the apartments are set up, the balconies/patios all face onto a courtyard which is nice. The sidewalks are all interconnected throughout the complex which is also nice- as opposed to the one I?m at now which isn?t that way. We had a small one bedroom and it had wonderful storage space, a nice size kitchen with a window, the layout of the place was nice, walk-in closet, the only room that didn?t have a window was the bathroom. It was great!! I actually miss the place and am considering moving back in. My only concern is the neighborhood and the children allowed to run around all the time. I would probably request one near the office or the front of the complex (we lived in the far left hand corner of the place) for two reasons: one, safety and maybe a nicer area of the complex and two, all the speed bumps to get back to our apartment were terrible on our car. There are three pools and a hot tub. Maintenance seemed to be fairly regular on them all and the hot tub was nice. I would walk around the complex and it seemed to be fairly nice around the perimeter as far as the residents. The interior apartments and the courtyards of some, you had to be careful of. The laundry facilities charged a little more and didn?t seem to do as great a job but that?s been more than a year ago so hopefully they are improved....We always said as long as you stayed inside your apartment, the place was a dream, it was just the outside that sometimes wasn?t so great.

UPDATE: We actually are moving back to this complex!! Our current complex tried to charge us for an extra month's rent (instead of just pro-rating the 5 days) b/c our new apartment wouldn't be ready until the 5th, so I called Winter Oaks up and they are going to try to squeeze us in before the end of the month!! Now that is good management!
