This place has been such a nightmare that my spouse and I are leaving the town. We moved here a year ago, during September of 2004 (during the hurricane season). It is now August of 2005 and there is still damage from the previous year. Our dishwasher has been broken since October of 2004, despite eleven requests. Our a/c broke in July and has been "fixed" twice, but the apartment is never cooler than 80. The neighboors are loud and most are shirtless and outside drunk and yelling...no police...no response from management.
Additionally management had the gaul to charge me 40 dollars for a water leek. They threated to evict me, although all of my books and clothes were ruined amounting to several hundred dollars in damage. I also now have to live with a wall of mold and mildew. There is dog crap everywhere. The maintance men drive like crazy men and have even hit a car in parking lot. The a/c is still broken been 90 in my apartment for a week...in august in fl coupled with the mildew is a major health problem. Also there's lead in the paint they use, which peels off the walls because of water damage and a poor foundation. One final thing the management is so bad as ive mentioned that im moving outta of this city. They treat you with disrespect and even spite. If they respond to you its to threaten you or to condescend to you. And a fun story, they gave us an eviction notice the first month we moved here because they hadnt given our checks to the bank in time, but there computers told em we were late in payment. They locked us out. Please i beg anyone who reads this not to move here.

Calling maintenance does nothing. They're incompetent, to say the least. You have to learn how to fix things on your own, unforunately.
