Where do I begin' I moved to the Empirian when I decided to go to Full Sail. At first glance it seemed ok but that was in the middle of the day when everone wasn't there. The management seemed friendly the first time I talked to them too. However that all went to ---- the second day of my stay at the satins lair....I mean Empirian Apts. After moving all of my stuff into my apt I was told that, that apt was reserved for someone else and that I had a day to move out. They put me into an apt that was a step up from a dumpster. If you didn't wear shoes then your feet become so dirty that you could actually write stuff on them. The kitchen was crawling with roaches the size of a mouse and the smell in the bathroom was so bad you would have thought that the cities waste had backed up right into the tub. Ontop of all of this the windows in this place were cracked so that whenever it rained every room would flood. The walls were paper thin if I wasn't listening to the rock refinery next door then I was listening to the disfunctional couple below me having sex. Across the hall there was a two bed apt just like mine except that there was 17 -------- living there who did not know the meaning of recpecting your neighbors. Every morning at 5:00am they all would come running out yelling at the top of their lungs and every afternoon they would be outside drinking with there shirts off until 3am the next morning. As far as safety is concerned well I workout at the gym five days a week and would consider myself a big guy who would be able to handle a dangerous situation but that doesn't mean anything in a place like the Empirian. I felt scared for my life every day I was there. From drug deals and the threats I recieved if I saw them to the shootings that seemed to occur around the clock. Of course where there's drug dealers and shootings there's gonna be constent police raids on drug dealers and gangs around the complex. You can expect to get to know the police officers names because they are there sooo much. Wait, how could I forget about the police helicopter which would track at least three running criminals through the complex a night. "Well ok so we understand that the complex and the people there are crazy, scary, annoying, loud, untrustworthy, drug dealing criminals but what about the rest of the complex'" Well the maintenance flat out sucks, and can't could be trusted with the key to a toy chest. Forget even requesting for something to be fixed because it will take forever, won't get done and in the end you'll be blamed for it. I had to wait 5 months for my A/C to bed fixed and when it was all over it broke again and I was blamed for having it on to low (I highly doubt that 65 is to low for an A/C unit). I also saw the maintenance personell buying drugs from several on the people their. While were on maintenance don't take your clothes to the laundry facilities here. They don't work and yet still take you money. But if you do need to do your laundry here for some reason I'm sure I can't comprehend then bring some sort of protection and stay there with your laundry. I had my clothes stolen from the washer (they didn't even wait until they were dry) and once by force on my way back to my apt. Forget about parking and if can then I recommend that you don't even own a car here, use a bike or something. My girlfriends car was broken into 3 times in one month. There are no spots availible mostly because of everyones busted car takes up the place. The weight room should be called the sweat box. It consists of a couple of five pund weights and a heck of alot of mirriors. Don't be disillusioned by any pictures of the pools there. They are run down and usually have beer bottles in them, I've even found a needle in one once. Now for the management, this is an easy one here that can be summen up in 3 simple words DON'T TRUST THEM! They seem to "loose" paper work very conveniently. I was personally in the office talking to someone at least twice a week. They lost rent payment far too many times for me to remeber. Luckily I always made or got a reciept which I made someone from management sign, I recommend this to anyone who is dumb enough to live here. Having lost my rent payments so much I usually got a eviction notice on my door, and would have to go to the office and show my reciept proving that I did in fact make the payment. Overall I found the management to be distrustfull, uncooperative, rapacious, uncaring and misguiding. If you value your life then I would not move here. For the love of God please heed my warnings and stay away!

Yeah they love to lose paperwork. They told us we never signed a lease, we never did this or that...and we not only did it, we did it several times. Losing paperwork is their job. And they have some ------- - male and female - working up there that love to tell you that everything wrong with your apartment is your fault.
