I´ll make this short and simple (yeah right). The staff there was pretty understanding & polite. I don´t know what the hell the other people were talking about because I´ve never had a problem with them. We got a deal on the apartment and they were very willing to workout anything. They were always cheery. The bitching people were probably uptight pricks complaining because things didn´t go their way. The apt complex seemed to cater to the snobby, upper middle class crowd. The apartments are very nice, with beber carpeting, and generally kept in good condition. I´ve never experienced a problem with noise ever, and we lived next to a college student who always seemed to have people coming in and out. The only problem is that you can hear people with heavy feet going up and down the stairs. The pool is nice (except for that damn latch) & the workout room had most everything for a simple workout. There are a lot of trees on property and it gives a quaintness to the atmosphere. Oh yeah, and another plus is there are TONS of eye candy. Extremely hot chicks of all ages are always walking their retarded trendy dogs in skimpy outfits (their owners in skimpy outfits that is), or laying out by the pool. I almost felt as if I was on a college campus.
Well, those were the good things. The only negative points were the grass smells like poo. There are a LOT of animal owners there, and they all get their animals to let it loose on the grass everywhere. Oh well, no biggie for me, just stick to the sidewalks and occasionally close your nose.
The apts are a bit overpriced I feel, and even though inside the apt are very nice, the stairways to the apartments are usually littered with cobwebs, dirt, & other critters (though not IN the apartment). They could also buy a friggin pressure washer and clean all the sidewalks and stairways, because it really needs to be done.
The gate IS ´always´ broken, and that is annoying because there is a fee for card that lets you in. However, that problem is understandable because every time they fix it (I see some guy tinkering out there on it) the next day some ------- moron runs into it. They should tell people if they really want to get in or out, just get out of their car and ´push´ the gate 1 or two feet, and it opens magically. When it did work, that´s all you had to do when you forgot your card. Would you believe most people run into the EXIT gate'! Idiots. Anyway, the gate doesn´t really provide any real security. I´ve never really seen any security personell there either.
While we´re on the topic of security, I had my car stolen from there. That really, really, really stunk. That transpired back in June or ´03. My vehicle was a highly sought after car, a Honda Accord, always in the top 5 of the ´most stolen cars´ list. I´ve never had a problem with car theft before living there, I´ll admit, but it really isn´t the apartments fault. If they want your car, they´ll get it, but security personell could deter some of it if they were employed. I was extremely lucky and the cops recoveredt my car, but after I got it out of the body shop, I ALWAYS parked in the very few well lit spots, or even next to Sherrif deputy who lived there too. In addition, there was another Honda Accord owner living in the same building as mine who had his car stolen a week after mine! I spoke to cops and they said that down the street, in another apt complex, one night theives stole over 15 Honda Accords. I recommend looking at http://www.nicb.org to see if your car is up there in the most stolen list. As far as the parking lot is concerned, there is almost always a spot close available, but there are a LOT of dark, unlit spots; they should put more lighting, flood lighting preferably, to make people feel comfortable, because I NEVER felt comfortable after that incident.
I don´t know much about problems with animal pet deposits, never had one there (I was in the minority). Had no problem moving out either.
Overall, I did enjoy my stay there, for the massive exception of problematic tumultuous personal love life & my infamous stolen car episode. I also think that the apartment complex is in a great spot. Not too far from downtown, close to three different malls, close to main roads to Cocoa Beach, etc.
