Great Place to Live!

Bishop Park has been a great experience for me. Yes the buildings are run down somewhat, but they are in the process of updating them right now. After a fresh coat of paint, they will be one of the best looking properties in the area. Although the construction has been a little annoying, I believe it will be worth the wait. This property will look like a country club resort once they are finished with it.
As for the gates, yes they have been down a lot lately, but did you see the last time they were hit''' Some idiot hit the exit gate.... THE EXIT GATE!!... this gate opens up automatically for you.. how can you be stupid enough to hit it' I do know that although the gates are down for some time, they usually have them back up and running in about 2-3 days before someone else decides to hit it again. Recently it was down for about 2 weeks and when inquired about it the management told me they were waiting on a steel gate. The steel gate is now back up and looks great. I cant wait to see what idiot is going to try to hit it next. This time they will definatly be sure to do more damage to their car than to the front gate. All in all, if you look around, most other properties close to us are not gated at all. As for any car break ins, my theory is.. if they want it bad enough.. they will get it somehow, no matter if you live in a dump or the most luxurious community.
As for the bird santuary and the spiders and bugs. I live on the second floor and have had one spider since I lived here and have never had any other bugs besides the ones that fly in when you open the door. The bird santuary is a beautiful place to live next to. My screened in porch faces it and I have seen many different species of birds such as blue jays, red cardinals, blue cranes and even a hawk. Actually I saw an entire family of hawks and had to call the office because one of the babies had fallen out of the tree.
As for maintence, the management company has a 48 hour guarantee not a 24 hour one like some guy state before. He also stated that it usually took them 48 hours which would still be in the boundaries of their guarantee. Every time I have had a problem here, they have been prompt to fix it. I have had a few things that have gone more than 48 hours but they were silly things like my front door needed new weather stripping or my dining room light went out. Whenever I have had any kind of emergency, they are usually at the apt withing a few hours. About a month ago my water heater and A/C went out in the same week. The guys were prompt to get me a new water heater, and my A/C only had gone out because the landscapers accidently cut my line. But I have never gone longer than a day when it was an emergency.
This is a great place to live and I will continue living here as long as I am in the Orlando Area. Sure they may be a few problems here and there, but they are normal everyday problems that most apartment complexes have. I have been in other properties in the area that arent as nice and have had must worse problems.
Oh ya.. and I was reading the one about Newport Colony... isnt that the apartment complex where they are ripping out walls to add balconys' You come home and have a whole wall missing.. doesnt sound fun to me.
