I have to admit at the beginning I posted a pretty good report on these people, but of course everything is all peachy in the beginning. The office staff is sweet, kind, and considerate when they want you to sign a lease and want your money but after that you can forget it.

First of all you have to buy a $20 or $25 gate card (mine was cracked) to be able to get in. I can tell you in the 6 months I lived there I probably used it maybe 3 times. No lie. The gate was always either broken or someone broke it on purpose, probably because they didn't want to pay the money for the card in the first place.

For the amount of money you pay for these apartments, they need to have more dumpsters and or valet service. RIDICULOUS! They have 1 dumpster in the entire complex at the front and half the time it's totally overloaded with garbage strewing all over the place. I can't tell you how many times racoons were all over the place. JUST NASTY.

I had a DJ living underneath me who liked to practice his latest "joint" at all hours of the night and into the morning. I complained once and it subsided for a while and then started back up again. Hearing the F bomb dropped a few times through the floor isn't the greatest thing if you have a family or decency.

Hurricanes came through, I was out of work for 2 weeks. I teach at a private school and could not collect unemployment. Therefore I had to get assistance to pay my rent and was a week or so late and they were all over my butt about it. Give me a break.

I ended up being evicted after being late 2 or 3 weeks on rent. Never had I missed a payment before, never had any complaints, never violated any rules or agreements. 2 or 3 months behind...thats ground for eviction. But a few weeks LATE' Give me a break. These people need to get off their high horses and stop acting like these apartments are the cream of the crop for Winter Park.

The prices are absolutely outlandish. I'm kicking myself in the butt for paying what I did. I could have lived in a much cheaper apartment and still be living there.

Oh and when you leave, beware...I received numerous messages/letters with all different sorts of totals for what I owed. Never once did I get the same total, and they hadn't even been inside the apartment. I didn't have any damages anyway.

Bottom line...listen to my advice and steer clear of these apartments. I'm not the only one with complaints. When I was moving out some other neighbors came to me and complained as well. Good riddance Bishop Park!
