The thing that most sticks out to me about BP is that my first night here a spider the size of a human hand ran across the ceiling. Turns out the back of the complex which they sold me on being "quiet" is actually the forgotten branch. Bugs nest wildly in the walkways, tadpoles breed in the puddles after rain that collects in an attractive ditch I have to pass to enter the building and the large swampy trees aka the reserve view, allows giant lizards and spiders to leap into my place no matter how clean or how much spray I use. (Third floor)I thought this was just part of having a place but no one in other complexes could believe my spider problem. It scared people from visiting me after they saw one outside the door waiting to run in.
Also, something no one is complaining about, down the road there are easier ways to exit complexes! Living here seems to be closest to the colleges but when you consider the required U-Turn to leave you're adding 3-8 minutes depending on traffic and luck with the light.
No one cleans up after their dogs, and they allow BIG dogs. It's sickening. There are wild rodents around the dumpster starting from about dusk. I am afraid to go there alone honestly.
I feel like a real pansy complaining about bugs and racoons but if you are like me and these type of things really affect you - MOVE somewhere ELSE. For the same price you can live where there isn't a swamp insect breeding ground out your doorway, the staff doesn't talk to you like you're an idiot and there isn't a family of animals at the dumpster. (Last time I went near dusk I saw multiple racoons AND a baby one...they're being allowed to breed there!!!) It took all the power I had not to laugh in their face when they tried to talk me into renewing my lease. Also everyone that's asked me about it, I tell them the truth. This place is disgusting and not worth the money.
