I would seriously consider you look else where for an apartment!

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008

I moved into BP in the middle of the summer last year. I meet with Brianna (no longer works here, thank god) to sign all the paper work and get my keys. Needless to say, the keys did not work but the apartment door was unlocked, so I was able to walk in and look around for a min. I went to the office right afterwards to let them know that the key didn't work for that lock, and she assured me that she would have maintenance take care of it, its a pretty simple task. I told her that that was fine and that I would be going to get some dinner really quick and would be right back, we drove ALL day and hadn't eaten yet.

When I got back about 30 mins later, the office was closed and locked. My first thought was that they left the key on the counter and left the door unlocked. This was not the case. I ended up having to call the emergency maintenance line to get Max (no longer works here, which sucks because he was the only maintenance guy that ever did anything) out here and let me into the apartment. When he did arrive he apologized for everything and told me that Brianna only ever told him to change the lock. He had no idea that there were people waiting to move in and he was quite upset with her. He checked the locks and handed me the keys.

Now, I'm ready to unload my uhaul into my new apartment, but I quickly found out that the AC did not work at all, it would only blow hot air because the freon was out. So, I had to move all my furniture into my new place with no AC, in the middle of the summer, not fun! I couldn't even sleep in the apt that night because it was so hot, instead I had to rent a hotel room for my first night. That was DAY 1.

The next day they did come and fix the AC, sorta. They refilled the freon, but the thermostat was off by 10 degrees or so. If you put it on 70, it was really on 80 and it wouldn't detect the correct temperature in the apt. I suspected that the mercury switch was bad and that the entire thermostat needed to be replaced. I dealt with it for awhile and didn't report it right away. To be honest, I just wanted to get settled in and relax for awhile. After I moved all my stuff in, I noticed that the carpet and all the windows had a ton of over spray on them from them painting the walls, 2 windows were missing screens and 3 off them wouldn't stay open, they would just fall back down after you open them. Lets not forget the back patio floor was slightly chipped up in a few places. Not a big deal right now, but it later became a HUGE problem because as I had guest come over and smoke ciggerates on the patio, the floor began to chip more and more until it was just one huge mess of chips all over the place. When I called them about it in the beginning, they had told me there is nothing they can do until "the rainy season ends". Sounds like -------- to me, but I said fine I'll wait a couple months.

A couple of months go by and I called them again about the patio and my AC. They send in 2 new maintenance guys to fix these problems. They replace my thermostat and just PAINTED OVER the chips. They didnt clean, sweep, or sand the floor down or anything. He just grabbed the paint bucket and just continued to paint over the floor. Needless to say the floor started to chip 2 weeks later, and my the 4th week it looked just like it did a month before, full of chips everywhere and the new thermostat didn't fix the AC problem. They ended up having to come back to my place 3 more times to fill up the freon. They told me it's because I didn't change my filter every 2 weeks. I changed it every month because I don't use the cheap 2 week ones they give you when you pay rent. I go out and buy the better brand that last a month. These people have no idea what they are talking about.

More Random Dumbshit:
A few friends of mine live here as well and boy do they have stories of there own.

When my friends toilet started to leak, he decided to fix it himself. When he pulled the toilet up there was NO WAX RING, just a bunch of plaster and puddy, no wonder why it leaked so much.

Just recently one of the maintenance guys went into my friends apartment while she wasn't there, locked her dog in her bathroom and did who's knows what while she was not there. When my friend came home, she noticed the dog locked in the bathroom, dying for some fresh air because the AC was off, and not much air can circulate in the bathroom. They don't have the right to walk into someones apt without notice!

Another friend of mine that lives here had to put out an electrical fire, in there apt because of the water heater. The maintenance guy had came into there place (while they were home) to check the AC for some reason. The guy ended up leaving a few mins later and my friends left to do some shopping. When they came back, they noticed their dogs were locked in the bedroom. They suspected the maintenance guy came back in to check the AC again, well he did and he left a WET rag where the AC filter goes. The rag started to drip into the water heaters access panel around midnight and next thing you know, there is a FIRE in the closet. They grab the fire extinguisher provided by bishop park to put it out, but the think would only spit out blobs and wouldn't spray. They ended up calling me to bring mine and I had to rush over there to help put it out.

The next day the maintenance guy said he had a "feeling" something was going to happen, and he didn't want to walk into the apt because he heard dogs barking and saw no one was home. So he decided not to go into the place to grab the rag. Which is -------- because when they came home later that day, the dogs were locked in the room when they left them out. So the maintenance DID go into the apt and is just trying to cover his own ass.

Here's a few pictures of my old apt:

If your thinking about moving into this place, think again. The charge your a gate card that NEVER WORKS because people are always slamming into the gate and pushing it open with there cars and trucks. The garbage bin is always overfilled, they need to have the garbage truck come more often but they don't. The pool isn't so bad, but the hot tub is disgusting. Looks like sperm is always floating in there and the gym room is not really a gym room. More like a cheap sauna with some cheap exercise machines.

I would seriously consider you look else where for an apartment.
