Bishop Park is definitely one of the nicer communities in Orlando for the price range. It's a little more expensive than we want to pay so we recently started looking for another apartment and I realized how good we have it at Bishop Park.
PROS:
Screened patios
spacious
newer appliances
clean carpet
amazing bathrooms
floor to ceiling windows, most people have a nice view
friendly neighbors (most people know each other, are cordial)
well-kept grounds
clean pool
safe (honestly i have never felt unsafe, and despite rumors, we frequently leave our apartment unlocked and have never been robbed nor have our cars been broken into)
ample parking ... i have never had to walk far at all ... walking 50 feet is not far
quick maintenance]
extremely polite staff
Quiet (Seriously, those of you who complain about noise need to get over yourselves. It is an apartment, you are occasionally going to hear other people.)
Cons:
The trash is frequently overflowing. Though I think the complex could use another dumpster, residents who leave their trash laying four feet from the dumpster cannot complain when it piles up in front and raccoons are everywhere.
Rent is a little higher.
Wall paint in interior of apartments kind of sucks. It's a matte white so it looks dirty easily.
Looks like they painted the walls to hide dirt before new residents moved in. There are a few hairs under our paint and some paint at the edge of the carpets but other then that, the apartment was very clean.
Those people considering Bishop Park should disregard all these other reviews. They are all ridiculous. If you are fine with the rent and seeing some cute little raccoons near the dumpters, you'll be fine with living here.

First of all, the raccoons aren't that cute and could potentially be carrying diseases. Second, the other reviews are not ridiculous as they are actual accounts of what others have experienced while living here so be a little respectful of the trials and tribulations they've had to experience at the hands of this apartment complex. By no means is it the worst in the area but as a long time Orlando resident, by absolutely no means is it one of the nicest. The staff is rude and so is maintenance and good luck getting them to do what they're paid to do: assist you in times of crisis or need. If I wanted that much pain and heartache each time something broke down I'd buy a house. And even then I know I'd get better service than I did at Bishop Park. Just because you had one good apartment in this sea of broken lockers does not mean this place is stellar or that you need to shoot down other reviews. As far as I can see you are outnumbered, maybe try thinking about that one for a moment.

Actually, in the interest of objectivity, one should never "disregard all other reviews." Everyone reports on the basis of the experience they had. As you can see, right now only 41% of all reviewers would recommend BP to a friend.
So ... "bp president" is the login.
Does that stand for Bishop Park?
British Petroleum?
Benut Putter?
just guessing...:)

Well in defense of the original post, I've been here for about 2 years, yeah there are some negative things like LAZY BASTARDS WHO REFUSE TO PUT THEIR TRASH IN THE DUMPSTER AND LEAVE IT 2 FEET AWAY FROM THE DUMPSTER! But every situation is different and I've had issues with maintanence but ever since they fired the head maitnence , guy, Jose' I think it was, and replaced him, I haven't had any problems. As far as this direct area of Winter Park... NOT ORLANDO... it is the nicer. I know people who live in Nob Hill across the street, Sun Key about a mile away, University Walk, 1/2 mile away, Seabrook, Casselton, Auvers village, and many others. Trust me, Bishop Park is the nicer of all of the ones I have listed. Seabrook is a little clean and the security gate works. One nicer place and more expensive is The Harbor just up the road on 436 in Casselberry. If you're looking for a cheaper place you're gonna find a worse place! What's that saying... you get what you pay for. If you want a nice place you gotta pay for it. If you want nice wine you don't buy it in a box do you???? The only reason I'm living here is because it is all I can afford at the moment. Of course if I can afford a nicer place I will move... who wouldn't if you have the money? I think some people come on this site just to complain a lot, which is fine, but if someone puts a positive remark on a place everyone jumps down their throat. And about the login name.... at least they have the balls to put it up and not post anonymously! My point is if you want nicer places then pay MORE $$$$, but most average people like me can't afford The Lofts in Winter Park because I'm not rich. I've lived in 5 different apartment homes in 3 different states and Bishop Park is one of the nicer if not the nicest. Unfortunately living in an apartment complex sucks because there are things out of your control like LAZY BASTARDS WHO REFUSE TO PUT THEIR TRASH IN THE DUMPSTER AND LEAVE IT 2 FEET AWAY FROM THE DUMPSTER! But if want a slice of paradise in FL DON'T MOVE TO ORLANDO! It's the 6th most dangerous city in America! And if you want a decent apartment then do your research like you should and pick the one that best suits you...

I find it funny that the person who wrote this comment sounds like someone who is trying to sell these apartments! I mean, please, spacious floor plans in a 2 bedroom apartment; tiled bathrooms with large tubs (actually, they are linoleum, and when you open the door you can't open the drawers because someone did not think that was important!) This is management lingo!!! And look at the perfect pictures of the fountain, they don't show the floating beer bottles, or the dog poo on the grass! Modern appliances are from the 80:s and will burn you if you touch them! Be real, is anyone stupid enough that they think a tenant actually wrote that review with the perfect pictures? If so, just talk with some actual people who live here! I have never found anyone who is satisfied with this place after having lived here for more than 6 months! Thank GOD my lease is almost up!!!!
