I've read the other reviews and, although not that misleading, are maybe the expressions of bad experiences. I moved to Calibre Bend because: 1) It was conveniently located to school and work. 2) I liked the staff upon my initial visit. 3) It appeared quite and was a rather small complex with unique apartments. I agree that the gate in the front is always broken. (Always) The apartment complex has its fair share of crime. (Look at the surrounding area) The apartments could be of better quality for the price. (No Excuses) It is not that loud here. (It is an apartment complex and not a quaint neighborhood) The traffic out in front is not a good experience to face every day. (Observe these things before you move) I've had broken things fixed promptly. (As well they should be) I don't like how my downstairs neighbor turns up his bass and is always playing the same U2 songs. I have repeatedly asked for assistance from the apartment and they haven't been much help. (Not acceptable) The biggest problem came upon moving in when the furniture wouldn't fit up the stairs in the single bedroom and I had to get a two bedroom instead. (That was expensive) This wasn't my mistake because I was told I would have a downstairs apartment and ended up getting the upstairs one the day I showed up with a truck full of furniture and nowhere to go. (That was one of the worst things that could of happened) However, they gave me a free months rent on the two bedroom place and over a year it was the same price for the one bedroom. (That means extra space for cheaper, I win) Overall, I'm OK with this place because I know that this is only a temp living situation. And that, my fellow searchers, is what it all comes down to. What is good enough for you and what are you willing to put up with because I seen no place that has it all together.
