Good location, lots of character

I've lived at the El Cortez for a year and a half, and I've found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The apartments are old and small, but quaint with wooden floors and claw-foot tubs. It's safe and pretty quiet, and there's a good amount of parking. No balconies or private patios, no swimming pool, and the laundry room is not really air conditioned, but the location is terrific - a block from Park Avenue, and walking distance to the Winter Park Library, Rollins College, and the Farmer's Market.
