It's been well over a year since I lived at this dump. I feel obligated to warn people about this place. I'm from Brooklyn NY, always lived in the not-so-nice areas and I experienced more crime and theft at this place in one year than I have seen in my lifetime. At first I lived at Semoran North (surprisingly, hands down the best place as far as $$ and SAFETY), then I lived at Semoran Palms then finally here. We never really had issues with the quality of the Apt. all though the AC was wonky. The biggest AND MOST IMPORTANT is the THEFT. When you first pull into this place it's really nice. You punch your little code in for the gate, drive in, see the tennis court, the jacuzzi, pool and the staff is friendly but it is EXTREMELY DECEIVING. I think I even recall seeing a camera right when you pull in. After a few months there both roomates and myself ALL had our cars broken into one by one. Different days, about a week apart. Hundreds of dollars worth of Audio equipment stolen, rearview mirrors, whatever they could walk away with. After filing numerous complaints and trying to keep an eye on our cars (just so you know, we lived in 706 and our cars were parked directly infront, you could see them from our window) they did NOTHING. It really baffled me because we all had crazy hours, all being full sail students. We had class and labs at all hours AM and PM - in and out constantly. 2 months later, the thief/thieves came back again. Second time around they completely stole my roomate's car. We called the police, filed the report and 3 weeks later they discovered her car in Jacksonville, FL burnt basically to a pile of ash. A month or so before graduation, while driving around to the exit gate at night, (if you've been in this place, you know what area Im talking about) I witnessed a sporty car fly out from the right and floor it towards the exit, cutting me off so I slam on my brakes. At that point I immediately with the corner of my eye saw smoke and flames coming out of the apartment window upstairs, it was the exact same spot the car darted from. I thought "no f***ing way". But my guess is they like to play with molotov cocktails too!! I called 911, waited for the fire dept. and police then made my way to class. Seriously, stay away from this place if you value your safety, car, or whatever other valuables you may have. The day I moved out, the very last thing I noticed was the handle and lock on our front door looked tampered with. Like someone was trying to get in from the outside.. Don't say you weren't warned!!
