Biggest mistake of my life

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2003
I lived in this hellhole for 8 months. It was great at first except at the last moment they told us our deposit that was required had just increased to $800. Also we were supposed to move in on February 12 but couldn't move in until March 5th because "the last tenent took too long to move out." The first few months, like I said, were great. It was quiet and clean and the apartment was huge. But after a while things started breaking down. Like our toilets, they were always broke and no one would fix them. I had to walk to Steak and Shake across the street with my 2 month old son just to use the bathroom. Our bathrooms were also covered in mildew from the constant leaks. Then the ceiling above my son's crib starting leaking as well as the ceiling in my room and around the light bulb in my closet. All maitnence did was paint the ceiling when they finally showed up. my son was constantly sick from all the mold in the ceiling. Also, maitnence would open up my door and walk into my apartment at any time for no reason. Especially, it seemed, right when I was getting out of the shower. I was forced to break my lease when the roof finally caved in and they actually put a judgement on my credit! I had even contacted the owner before I moved out who simply told me that it wasn't his problem. I lateer founsd out that my apartment had been condemed. If you careat all about your health then you will not move here.
