The office staff was friendly and eager to help before I signed the lease. After I signed it everything changed.
The condition of the apartment when I moved in was unliveable and I was unable to stay the first night. The overwhelming smell of mold and mildew from the hall invaded my apartment. The air conditioner did not work, the refrigerator handle was broken, a drawer was missing in the kitchen, and they only painted over spots which left the walls looking blotchy. The bathtub backed up with water and the rug was so old and worn out.
The laundry facilities provided mostly broken appliances so only one machine would be working. I often had to take my laundry to a public laundrymat.
Helicopters fly or hover over the apartment complex on a regular basis. Neighbors loud and fights can be heard. Garbage trucks picking up garbage from the stores at 3:00 a.m. very, very loud. Air conditioner generators not replaced because they are old and it did not work consistently.
One of the pools was closed because it was run down. The other pool was dirty and not clean. The office staff often complain when kids play in the pool and tend to close it down when they see children there. The playground is unsafe, not clean, and equipment is so old and not maintained. The location of the playground is next to the dumpster so there are bugs all over the place.
Absolutely no incentives to stay. A pathetic clubhouse. Do not move here even if you are desperate. I did and I regret it because I have a 13 month lease but am already dreamy of the day when I can leave. By the way it is under new management, but they seem to think things were run great before and are not planning on making changes.
