From the outside everything looks great...and before you move in everyone seems polite and helpful, but then reality hits! The roofs leak, there are bumps in the carpet(like they just lay them w/out scraping the floors), very cheap cabinets, poorly insulated windows w/out screens!!!!!, ROACHES, Forget about having things fixed in a timely manner, the only thing that is expected to be on time is their rent money! The laundry facilty is a mess with dryers that steal your money!!! Nothing is safe ever...people break in to your cars and steal stuff off your porch and hallway!! The other tenants are rude and disrespectful just like the office staff!! They call -- a manager but she is the most nasty and obnoxious person I have ever met!! This is no home, you get over charged for water, the a/c units freeze up and run your electric sky high and with all the drugs and partying going on in the apartments children are not safe here!!!! We can not wait for our lease to be up to get out of here...do yourself a favor and do not be fooled...stay away from La Aloma Apts. and do not make the same misteak we did!!!

I to understand all of what you have stated. I thought it was a nice place from what I seen on the outside but once in I too began to have some of the same issues. I thought it was only my apartment that felt like it was a pile of rocks under the so called new carpeting, then there is that water bill unless it's just my bill it stats refuse & to my understanding REFUSE is TRASH something in the lease that we are not suppose to be paying for but are & as you stated the bill is OFF THE HOOD b/c if one person is paying as much as $40 a month for water I could only guess what a family of 3 & up are paying. Then the noise well if you enjoy hearing others having sex, people walking the floor, opening & closing the closets & doors this is the right place to be-if not RUN AS FAST & AS FAR AS YOU CAN DON'T COME HERE!!!!! I have never had any problems with my car being broken into & pray that never happens parking is cool for me b/c I park on the front side of my place. As far a drugs I don't know b/c I don't care to know the people who live here, I go to work & come home & TRY my best to enjoy my living space. The office staff is lazy & sorry. How do you come to my place for a work order & then me not being there (suppose to had been at work) happen to come home & seen my back door open & the back of the maintenance mans head I sit in my car for about 3 mintues with my back dor oepned & AC going in my place only to get out of the car step in my place & no one is inside understand I seen the person with my own 2 eyes- he left out of my front door leaving my back door opened WIDE OPEN, then the days I've come home & the front door is unlocked (those whom live in La ALoma know that there is lack on the door that if in use can keep you from unlocking the front door if lack is on) in which case b/c I used the back door when first moving to La Aloma was ALWAYS in use so its not like I didnt know someone was in my place. Thank God I have not seen any roaches lizards yes but no roaches. For anyone wanting to move some where go any place other then LA ALOMA APRATMENTS ITS A TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT ONCE IN HERE. TRUST IT WILL MAKE YOU CRY.
