Look, this is not a nice place. I have read some of these reviews and wonder. There is a large hispanic population as well as a fair ammount of college students. The laundry rooms tend toward gross, especially the one under the office. There are however two laundry mats within a mile or so and I use these. The property was not well maintained in the past and I suspect that the '04 hurricanes season played a role in some of the "falling apart" aspect to the property. However, they have made some improvments. I have not had any serious problems with bugs and when I have they were easily managed (one instance in four years). I have never had a problem with parking and several repairs I have needed were done in a timely manner with one exception. The management has improved as well. It has gone from gross incompetance, to a nasty ----- (who seemed to have an eye for drug dealers and evicted at least two that I am aware of) to the current crop of marginal competance. If I were to send my daughter off to college she would not be allowed to live here. This place is not for just anyone. If you are sqeamish, have a weak stomach or are pristine, prim and proper this is not somewhere you'd want to live. The level of social sophistication will put you off. But if you're more interested in what YOUR doing as opposed to those around you, it's not THAT bad. Having said that, I really can't say that I recommend signing a lease here. And if you do, some advice; when you need somehting done, stay on the management and make sure it gets done. If you allow them to forget, they probably will. This is not a great place to live and I don't do much entertaining here. But it is affordable and the apartments are large.
