Apts are antiques.

Most of AIMCO's apts in the area (winter park, altamonte springs, orlando, oviedo, casselberry, fern park) are very old. Further away from the metro area there are a couple apt communities that are ok, but they are 800 to 1200 per month. Signal Pointe is probably average quality compared to all their choices.
The buildings were built in 1960 and they are OLD. The appliances are OLD, the walls have cracks in them, and the carpet looks OLD. The walls in the middle of the apt act like amplifiers for noise between vertical neighbors. Horizontal neighbors have better walls but not too good either.
The apts are very affordable from 575 for studio, 680 one bedroom, and 720 for two bedroom. That is a problem...why' Because it attracts all the noisy college kids as well as all the poor people moving up from the ghettos.
I have a neighbor who likes it here. I think it's aquired taste and depends on your tolerance level. I'd rather pay 50% more rent for better quality.
The one good thing about this place is that management is excellent and very nice people. It's not their fault that the place is old, it's the fault of the corporation employing them. I'd say the management is among the most helpful I've ever seen anywhere.
Unfortunately, nice management doesnt help the fact that this place kinda sucks to live at and the residents are ghetto and push shopping carts across the 4 lane road from publix a block down. Ridiculous.
