Needs a Health Inspector!

My lease isn't up until November and I am dying to get out. When we saw the place it needed some cleaning, but we were reassured that it would be getting a new paint job and clean carpets. All they did was vacuum and repaint over the thick layers already there. None of the doors close because of the thick paint jobs, and everything metallic is rusty. We first moved in and our dogs got fleas from the gross and stained carpet!! A few weeks after we moved they began construction on the house so every morning for a MONTH we got a 7 am wake up call. The noise was horrible. My husband and I work nights so we never got any sleep! This was just the first few months!! Around March our air conditioner broke and began leaking tons of water. It took TWO WEEKS to get it fixed. Two weeks without AC!! Our dishwasher was also leaking so they replaced it with another OLD dishwasher. Now our kitchen faucet has uprooted right out of the metal frame of the sink! Its been three weeks and still no reply from maintenance.
We can hear EVERYTHING from our neighbors, and SMELL everything! If one of our neighbors is cooking we can smell it, but worst is when they are smoking! I don't want my home to smell like an ashtray! The worst part about living here has to be the roaches. They are EVERYWHERE! Nothing seems to kill them. This place needs a health inspection!!

My wife and I are stuck in the Heritage Park Apartments off of 410 and Babcock. We're dealing with an almost identical situation. Have you found how to get a health inspector, by any chance?

I work for the Oranbe County Department of health. The phone number is (407)521-2630. If you are concerned about air Quality talk to Noel Crispo. If you are concerned about the facility in general (and think it is worth legal action without taking anything out of your pocket) talk to Jim Flemmings. If you want the whole facility inspected call Andy (I forgot his last name) he is the supervisor for the program.
