I have lived here for over 6 years and have been very happy with my stay here. Yes, there have been some minor problems. But you will find that where ever you choose to live, even in YOUR OWN home. I have never had a problem with roaches in my apartment, so others might look to themselves on that one. I have never had problem with maintenance, they have always been pretty quick in getting back to me and fixing the problems: of which I have not had, but a few. In fact, the last time I had to have maintenance come, he waited for me on my stairs to get home so that he could fix the issue. I consider that going overboard for a tenant. Don't you'
As the years have passed, this complex has tried to become better and better. Those that complain need to back up and get some patience. You can not have immediate changes for the better. It takes time, and patience and understanding. These changes are being made for US...the tenants. I appreciate the changes. Yes, some are complaining about the washers and dryers being taken out. Well, I would rather have them in my home so that I could do my laundry when ever I wished, rather than spending the time to go to the laundry room and hope there were available appliances.
The management of this complex has been very sociable and I have never had a problem with any one of them doing what they were supposed to be doing. In fact, the management team here has tried having special outings to get more of us together. To get us to know each other. I wouldn't be surprised if they quit doing that as there are not all that many that have taken part in any of these activities compared to the amount of people who live here.
I love the fact that the old apartments from 15-20 years ago are finally being updated, as well as the grounds. I feel safer with the new gate system and the new, brighter lighting in our areas. We do not have a lot of mischief going on in here that often and when there is, it is taken care of.
Do you realize that at one time, I found a child molester with an address listed in this complex' He had moved in here with a girlfriend and was not on a lease. No one knew he was here. Until I told management and showed them the printed page from the internet. The man was taken out of here with in HOURS!!!! To me and my family's safety, as well as yours, that was excellent work.
The way I see it, is suck it up, have some patience and learn some tolerance. What you may expect is perfection. There is no such thing, but Signal Pointe has been a wonderful place for me and my family. I am looking forward to my 7th year here! Have a wonderful day.

you have to work for the apartment complex... there is no way you're living in the same place as the rest of us. "feel safer with the new gate system" ...that is always broken and left open. "look to yourselves" regarding the roach problem - my apartment is never left dirty and they come back no matter how many times the apartment complex sprays. and of course we would all like to do laundry in our own apartment - but when we signed on to the lease, it was about $50 extra a month for washer/dryer hookup, and since we didn't plan on staying long we figured we'd get by since there were 2 facilities on site - not only did they close down one, that wasn't enough - close down both for a YOGA room ?!?!

No, I do not work for the complex. And yes, I have been living in these apartments for the past 6 years. Right now, I agree that the gating system needs some work. But so does every new car, new computer browser. All I am saying is that there may be some kinks, but in time, they will be worked out. They are making strides compared to when I first moved in. At least it is a big step in the right direction.

I call bull that you do not work for the complex. I have not met a single person that likes living in Signal Pointe. The upgrades they are making to the apartments are kicking people out of their homes and raising prices. I would rather live in an ok apartment then live in a Signal Pointe "upgraded" one. The upgrades are done horribly! Just because a place is pretty does not mean it is liveable. The staff is two faced and the maintenance men do not wait on your doorstep for you. They said construction on the "amenities" would be done in January, it is almost March and they are not even close to being done.

Honey, you can say bull all you want. I do not, nor have I ever worked for ANY complex in any way, shape or form. I have had one problem with the new apartment and the team here fixed it without hassles. And, yes, a maintenance engineer did wait on my doorstep for me. As far as Bright House....hmmmmm I got another outlet put into my NEW apartment. Maybe if you stop complaining about it and talk to the office personnel, they can get you another one as well. All they had to do was bring a line in from the outside. As far as the timing on the work being done....have you ever had to hire contractors? It is extremely hard to get any of them to finish within their time line. Also, taking into factor that they are working on the amenities at the same time that they are trying to complete the apartments as they become available, shows me that they are working hard. Have you ever stopped long enough to watch them? They are always working...not piddling around. Give them a break. Own your own home or rental unit, hire people to get things done, then you might have a right to complain.
