We moved from out of state to Signal Pointe and they took advantage of the fact that we could not really inspect it before moving in. We spent over an hour going through the actual unit we were renting before we signed the lease and made a list of all the things that needed attention before we moved in. The lady that was helping us (not our leasing agent) wrote everything down and we sat there as she emailed it to our leasing agent. We were promised an accent wall and an exterminator coming through, among other things, before we moved in. The day we were leaving our old place to make the long move I called our leasing agent to make sure the accent had been painted. She first told me that we hadn't given them the $100 payment for the accent wall. After admitting that the "Welcome Home" package mentioned the free accent was free she told me that our paint selection was "special order". How can it be special order' There was a paint swatch, of our color, in the packet and you can go to just about anywhere that sells paint and they can match the color in a few minutes. I then demanded that they get it painted before we were to move in 5 days later. Of course, that didn't happen. We had to leave all of our stuff in the middle of the room for 4 days until the painter had 2 hours to come in and paint the wall. After two days of driving with 2 toddlers in the car we got to Signal Pointe and picked up the keys only to find that none of the items we had listed had been fixed and one of the construction workers in the complex was using the bathroom (number 2), which really grossed me out when I later realized that there was not toilet paper or soap. Things were fine for the next couple days until I went to check the mail. They had given us the wrong key and I couldn't get my mail for a few days. We later noticed that the windows didn't lock in our children's rooms and it took several weeks before that was resolved. This is a "gated community" but there was a hole in the fence that all kinds of people were using as an entrance/exit and that was fixed, eventually. I expected that the gate would probably have issues from time to time but it has been zipped tied open on both sides of the complex all year. Not that it matters, the code that the construction workers use is ----, we overheard them talking about it and it does work. Super secure. From April through September we had construction from 7:45 am until 8 pm Monday-Saturday in the surrounding apartments. This included jack hammers, saws, drills and lots of general banging. We also had two times where the workers in the unit behind us broke pipes and filled our bathrooms and master bedroom with water. Some of the other comments that are posted are from my neighbors. We have also been told that we have no option to renew our lease and must move, on property move will cost $300 more. We were also asked to maintain the landscape in front of our apartment because the landscaping company doesn't want to take care of it.
On the other posted reviews:
The sprinkler water is really nasty. It smells like a sewer every night when the sprinklers come on.

Workers unplugged my A\C unit more then a few times while they were renovating the apartments below mine. Of course, they didn't plug them back in either, so a couple times a week, I'd come home to an apartment that was 88* inside, had no idea why the A\C wasn't working, and usually had to wait until the next day for someone to come by and figure it out.
