Don't be duped, people! Most, if not all, of the positive reviews you see on this review site are posted by the deceitful employees that work for Signal Pointe. Our experience has been one sham or false promise from the very beginning. Firstly, all of the extra charges you receive....they never told us that we would be getting charged by ista as well as SP for water/refuse/sewer/etc....it comes to 50 a pop for ista, and an additional 50 from SP. But what's fishy, is that when you pay the ista bill, you're writing it out to Signal Point, not ista. Then, with your rent, SP tacks on these same charges, and gets paid again. Do really think we're all that gullible' Tsk, tsk....shame on you, SP! This was never explained to us from the beginning...probably because we were dealing with one of the most unprofessional and condescending women we've ever encountered. All these little "ancillaries" keep popping up left and right. I also know that their camera system is down. They make you feel like you're protected, but you're really not....because most, if not all of the cameras are down. We have been told on more than one occasion by residents and staff that the "system is currently down". Therefore, not only are people (that I'm not sure even live here or not), are waiting outside the gate for someone with a card or code to let them drive in behind them....some even sneak in right before we get up to the gate. I have been also told by several residents, that maintenance and exterminators are going into peoples apartments with no authorization from the resident. I have a neighbor who was actually in bed when a maintenance worker just let himself in. I don't feel safe here....on a security level, as well as on a business level. These people in the office are a bunch of condescending and dishonest people who will pull anything out of their ass to land the sale. It's all fluff on the outside, but ---- in the middle. Liars and crooks are AIMCO, SP, ISTA. I welcome you to do a little research on line about these companies. None of them are registered with the Better Business Bureau....because they do comply with their standards. We are not the only ones that feel this way, because we talked to several people....those who have been here a while....others who, like us just regretfully moved in and are tied to a rent for the next year....and those SEVERAL who we saw moving out as of late, and decided to "chat it up a bit" with and get the scoop. Several of the complaints are mainly the same....like those I listed above, and others are pretty random and unexpected....but I got my eyes peeled for those types of incidents as well. SO.....think twice before moving in....a fancy clubhouse and gym, does not a good community make. Unfortunately...we are so regretably stuck here for the next 10 months....and would happily leave if they didn't completely screw you (without lube)to do so.
