Something you should know:

These apartments were built a long time ago. The remodel is superficial. The floors are thin and you can hear everything your neighbors do. Its pretty much a 70 year old woman with lots of plastic surgery. It looks new on the outside, but the structure and insides are about to give.

I have lived here for about 2 years. I lived in an unremodeled apartment for a year and moved into a remodeled after my lease was up. The old apartment was cheap, really really cheap. The construction noise was unbearable, but you get what you pay for. My new apartment is beautiful, but we had 1 day to move. I was told that I could not extend my lease for a day because they had it scheduled to remodel the next day and my new apartment would not be ready until noon on moving day. Also, I had to get the keys back to them by 7pm. Awesome. We did it. No complaints since we moved until now.

We had the first apartment in this building to be remodeled. So, we got to wake up every morning at 7am with construction sounds. If this wasn't bad enough. We had several botched repairs happen while we have been here. Our walls look like jigsaw puzzles. Ok thats fine. To be expected. Well since then, ok. Its beautiful outside. The amenities are great if they are working/open.

Then management changed. We loved travis. Alas, he is gone and we are stuck with the sh*ttiest, most unfriendly people in the office. There is a British (or something) woman who is a class A B*tch. Well I hope they are happy. I will be leaving. Seirously, get som opinions from current residents when choosing this place.

Things to ask about:
Mold
Bugs (we get german roaches)
Maintenance (they are bad now, but who knows)
Remodels (there is such a thing as too much construction)
Rate hikes (mine has been consistantly 250 per year from 700 to 950 to 1200 for the current renewal.)
Gates
Going Condo
CABLE (we have 1 working outlet. They drilled through the walls and attached a splitter. The cable in my room is the 3rd split off another splitter on the line and the quality is awful.)

I agree with you about the staff in that place. I posted a review a couple months ago. I had signed a lease and when I went to move in my apt was not ready. NOBODY there was will ing to do anything to resolve the situation. Not even Travis or the AIMCO home office. I actually think my situation of the collosal mistake they made may be the reason Travis is no longer than. Joed should not be there either since he was the one that messed up my lease to begin with. These people cost me so much money NOT to move in. It was rediculous. They are rip off's and liars that are trying to sell on looks, not quality. So dont buy into it people. Im renting a condo from a private owner and get treated wonderfully. At least I think my situtation turned out for the better,even though Signal Pointe cost be alot of money.
