It's a place to live.

Sun Key is a decent place to live, especially considering the surrounding area. On the positive side, the 2 bed/2 bath floor plan is great for roommates and it has a lot of space. Outdoors, the complex is reasonably well maintained. There is enough parking (at least near me), but it is not well lit and the pavement develops huge potholes. It is not in a "nice" neighborhood, but I think it is one of the better complexes in the area from a crime and safety standpoint. A year or two ago, they got rid of the stupid security gates.
On the downside, management is barely competent and office staff turnover is very high. Maintenance can be a problem. Water from above slowly leaked into our apartment for a month, causing the ceiling in one bathroom to cave in before they fixed it. I had to call numerous times to get the repair finished. We also had a mold problem, which was remedied, but there was no communication between the office and the maintenance guy to tell us what was going on.
Bottom line: it's a decent place to live, especially if you have a roommate. I wouldn't recommend it for a family.
