I'm renting the bigger 1/1 on the top floor near the front of the complex near the clubhouse, and I have seen a friend's 2/2 so I can compare a little. I had some issues early on with things like a faucet that fell off from being old. Maintenance was prompt and helpful about fixing things when they came. So far I have had no bug issues and I am not using bug spray or whatnot. Older apartments have this tacky burgundy carpet; mine has berber and is obviously brand new. Parking gets bad past 8 or 9 PM but not so bad that you're parking halfway across the complex. My neighbor is a bit of a nuisance in that he plays his music too loud, but I've reported him once already. Clubhouse people are nice about those things (my neighbor said they weren't nice to him about his noise, though). They already know my name and they're always friendly. Can easily hear noises through the walls, but personally i rather be able to hear if something weird is going on. Compactor and mailboxes as you leave the complex. Never seen the compactor backed up. I feel safe enough walking around at night when I had my friend's Welsh Corgi (small dog, not at all a guard dog) to walk around. The price for this is 725/mth and I feel that I have had little problems, honestly, about this place. It does seem a tad dingy, though, if anything, and I have had issues with the wiring and sudden incidents with the power going on. I suggest a battery backup for the computer and other electronics you want protected, just in case. I will review later on, though, since things may change.
EDIT: Oh yeah. There will be people gathering in the stairwells to talk, even blocking the stairs themselves, but they seem courteous enough to move without fuss. There has been a couple stray cats outside and one even left its droppings on the sidewalk. It wasn't cleaned up but that sawdust-like stuff was thrown over it. Being stuck with only one type of Internet and phone service to choose from is restricting. With my friends, I've seen them have issues in regard to payment and natural end of lease with the clubhouse people. I can give no opinion about the pool, workout areas, or laundromats.
