I lived in Sun Key for 6 years. I stayed there for so long not because it was great, but because it was close to work and I was too lazy to move. It's not necessarily a bad place, it's just better suited for traditional college students. The walls are thin - DO NOT live under someone else if you can help it! Parking was never a problem, but fellow residents don't have much consideration for your car so you'll get a lot of scratches. This complex is definately showing its age, especially after hurricane Charley. The management and staff are adequate, but they are very rude and uncompassionate when it comes to paying rent late. One time in the six years I lived there I paid rent late and they treated me as if I were a lowly scumbag. Good amount of space but it's not worth the amount of rent they charge and be aware that rent will go up EVERY year. How they justify this, I don't know. Their workout room is usually in need of repair - I don't recall a time where SOMEthing wasn't broken at one time or another. My welcome mat was stolen, apparently that's a common problem. Nonsmokers stay away: inconsiderate college kids love to gather in the walkways and smoke up a storm. Sometimes it seeps into your apartment through the cracks in the door. The worst part is the garbage: people will put garbage bags on top of their car and then - suprise suprise! - they fall off and garbage gets strewn everywhere. Usually there is garbage and broken glass laying around the street. Once a week the garbage piles up in embarassing and disgusting amounts by the compactor. Why are there not two compactors in this place'
Ultimately, I'm sure there are worse places. But you can certainly do better!
