I lived in Sun Key for 2 years while I attended Full Sail. I would not recommend this apartment complex for several different reasons - firstly, the area isn't the safest which isn't Sun Key's fault, but they can do certain thing to make their residence feel safer. My car was broken into twice and my apartment was broken into once as was some of my neighbors and it continued to happen throughout the apartment complex on a regular bases. it wasn't until just recently Sun Key hired some extra security. second, my hot water heater broke 3 times and flooded part of my apartment and they did the same thing each time to fix it, patched it together with duck tape. also my air conditioning unit needed constant repair. lastly, there was a rat problem. Not just one or two but sometimes 5 rats in my apartment at one time. they had to come out and patch up the holes they chewed through to get into my apartment twice. Even after they patched up the holes i could still here them in the walls. it wasn't just my apartment but everyone in my building suffered from rats. And just as I moved out they lowered the cost of living there about 200$, i still don't think thats low enough to deal with all the problems i went through for two years.

One paragraph with no formatting, 2007-2009 timezone, lived there two years, physically impossible claims and the same extroardinary claims of how this place is so terrible and yet you never once called the health department or the police. Let me guess, you got kicked out after refusing to clean up after your parties, violating the noise ordinances, and trashing your apartment and the complex and now you're bitter? Here's a tip: If you want to convince people some place is terrible don't claim things which are literally physically impossible. A hot water heater is under pressure and the raw hot water inside it is about 120F. There's simply no way to "patch it together" with duct tape.

Okay, buddy, this is a review of an apartment complex not a term paper. I'm not sure why you're getting bent out of shape about the formatting. I lived at Sun Key for two years while attending Full Sail. I had a pretty tight schedule going to Full Sail, so I didn't have time to party. When I had rats, Sun Key told me to call the exterminator. The exterminator never got to the root of the problem, which is why I had two occurrences of rats. And I did call the police when my car and apartment was broken into. Duct tape was a bit of an exaggeration, they patched up the water heater pipe with electrical tape and a clamp (is that much better?) the first two times, then finally the third time they replaced the pipe. I'm trying to help others make a decision about where they choose to live when coming out here for school or whatever the reason. You're right, I am bitter and I was naive because I should've moved out of the complex earlier. I didn't get kicked out, I didn't violate any rules - I really didn't do anything wrong. I'm just trying to save others from the same experiences I had.

When our hot water heater broke, they responded IMMEDIATELY. Within hours, we had a brand new hot water heater, and everything was cleaned up. Sunkey has been nothing short of an oasis here in Florida. Let's face it, there isn't really a "safe" area in Orlando. This area is certainly much better than other parts, like OBT. I would hate to see the state of the apt. that started the so called "rat infestation". I've certainly never heard of it or have seen professional animal control, so i'm doubting it ever happened.
