I am a graduate student and a working professional. When I first moved into Sutton Place there was different management that was very picky about the tenants.
With the new management, who is very nice, there has been an explosion of UCF and Full Sail students (primarily the latter.) The only thing that has occurred because of this change is the noise. There are always people speeding around the corners and screeching over the speedbumps while their bass is bumping. Occassionally I'll hear students hanging out in the parking lot late at night, but it doesn't really bother me as long as its on the weekends (because I'm up too). If you want someplace very quiet, I suggest you don't live near any college because this will happen anywhere.
I've had a couple of maintenance issues, but they are always responsive and have a quick turn-around time.
I have felt very safe here (even when I lived alone for a few months - and I'm a female).
The grounds are very well kept except for the occassional mess left by someone's dog. That is not the fault of the management - just a lazy pet owner.
Actually, my one gripe about the apartment is the pet deposit. I had to pay a nonrefundable fee of $300 for my little cat who is well-behaved and has always guaranteed us a refund on similar deposits. Their reason for this was because they'd need to change out the carpet when I left in case the next tenant was allergic. I don't believe that though because after the "newness" of our steamed carpet wore off, you could tell it was old carpet. I disagree with this.
Overall, it is a nice, clean, safe place to live in Orlando. I would recommend it but warn that there are many students living here. If that's not your scene, then this isn't your ideal apartment complex.
