A little on the expensive side but a great apartment complex!

I have been living here for over a year and it is amazing. The staff is always extremely courteous and if I have a problem with my apartment it has always been fixed same day. When I first moved in I gave them a list of things wrong with the apartment and highlighted what I wanted fixed. The next day I was unpacking and maintenance showed up. I had them replace one switch, the chain lock on my door, and replace two screens that were missing. They fixed everything within 10min.
A few months after I moved in I was at a gas station across the street and locked my keys in my car. I walked over to Sutton Place's office and asked if I could have a key to get in my apartment to get my spare set of car keys. One of the office workers offered me a ride on the golf cart back to my apartment. She said she would drive me over to the gas station if she was allowed to drive a golf cart on the road.
There are a lot of reviews talking about the gate always being broken. It is broken sometimes, it isn't a new gate. I think most of the people don't understand that the gate is left open until about 9:00 pm. After that you need to use a magnetic key. I have been living here since June and I think the gate has been broken three times for one or two nights.
I am a 19 year old male and I feel really safe walking around the complex well into the night. The complex does have a rent-a-cop that works at night. The complex never claims that they have 24hr security. They say they have a security guard walking the grounds at night, and they do. The security guard is not driving around either. He has a vehicle but spends most of his time walking around the premises. And they do seem to care about their job. They make a point to stop suspicious people or talk to people walking around at night. A few weeks ago a guard stopped a man who was walking around my apartment building. I'm not quite sure what was going on but I do know that the guard called the Orange Co. sheriff. One sheriff came without their lights on and she stood outside talking to the man for about 20 minutes. They ended up walking him to the front gates and letting him go.
There are not as many cameras as they want you to think they have but there are some. I know the office has cameras inside and outside, and the front gate has cameras on it.
If you don't live on the top floor of your building, expect a little noise from the people above you. It's not loud but it is worth noting. Being set back from the road a little cuts off nearly all street noise. The only outside noise that sometimes becomes an annoyance is the nearby airport and the low-flying planes overhead.
This has been a great first apartment for me and I would definitely recommend it to friends, family, and anyone who wants a great place to live.
