I've lived in lots of crappy places in my life. Even in the Army, many of my rooms were shabby. This place isn't as bad as most people would want you to believe.

I moved here from another place in Winter Park, moving in with a classmate of mine. Since it's really close to Full Sail, I ride my bike and save money. We all know it's rarely freezing in Florida.

While staying here I've experienced some problems, though nothing major at all. One time a pipe in the bathroom wall leaked into a bedroom. We told the office right away and they took care of it promptly. The Maintenance works quick most times, and I've never had to wait more than a day or two. Also, they do their best to fix things right. I've never had to ask them to re-fix anything.

Lots of people complain about the office managers, though I'm sure they never think about how difficult a job they really have. I once was in charge of managing a Battery full of paperwork for over 130 Soldiers. That was NO easy task. Can you imagine trying to take care of an apartment complex full of tenets with just a hand full of managers' Many tenets are quite rude too.

Look, no one's perfect and you shouldn't be so quick to give them a hard time. If you treat people with respect, then they will treat you fair in return. Just have patience and don't get an attitude with people.

Though I don't drive, my roommates both had cars. They didn't have any issues with parking at all. Of course you're not going to get the same spot everyday. Grow up and DEAL WITH IT. There are at lest three rows of spaces surrounding each building. Be smart and plan a parking strategy, and you'll be fine.

Since most of the residents here are Students, yes, it's going to be noisy as times. Usually, just on the weekends; more so during the Summer when people are outside. Also, some people are in college for Audio and like to play instruments. If your neighbor is playing music too loud, just go over and ask them if they would mind to turn it down a notch. Most of us are adults around here, so be mature and go ask them. Works every time for me. If you want to be rude and take language or tone against your neighbor, then expect them to give you the finger. It's your fault if that happens.

University Walk is a place for people who live modestly. This isn't for rich people, it's for the average person who doesn't want to pay an arm or leg. Having lived in MUCH worse conditions, I am quick to point out that this place is pretty nice. The apartments aren't perfect, however, there are a LOT of them here and the management is trying hard to get them all in good shape. These buildings have been around for a while after all. The water is inexpensive too.

There's a descent amount of green grass, trees, and shrubs to be found around here and sidewalks that connect everything making it easy to get around. There are two pools, so one is always close. During the warmer seasons, my friends and I are always out there!

I'm happy here. No every place is perfect for everyone. Come down and check the place out before you move in. Don't just rush in and then complain later because it's not as awesome as you expected. That's just foolish.

Also, don't be a child. Most of us moved here to attend college so we can escape the slums of the town we came from. Look, stuff happens, that's LIFE. However, if you're the one living here causing trouble, then cut it out. You're a pain to the rest of us.

I've included some pics. As you can see, it's nice.
