I don't know why people are knocking Whisper Lake Apartments. This is by far the best place I've ever lived (next to being catered to at my parent's house :) Just make sure when you sign the lease that you get one of the apartments surrounding the lake. I have a beautiful view of the lake through my bedroom window!
There is no trouble parking at all here. There is parking between the apartments, surrounding the apartments, and across the way from the apartments. I have never had a problem. Also, they have parking for RVs or boats if you have one.
The maintenance is TOPS!! This is one of the reasons I highly suggest Whisper Lake. I resigned my lease for next year, and after I resigned I got my carpets cleaned, a new stove, and a new dishwasher! If anything is broken or needs repair, they have no problem just replacing or fixing it for you within a matter of days (sometimes hours!). The maintenance people and staff are so accommodating and polite!!
The only complaint I have is that they tried to raise my rent by $100 a month from one year to the next! That's unheard of. However, they gave us a new lease with a LOWER rate (up $65/month from last year). This place is not rent-controlled, but it is worth the cash. Also, Full Sail and other students get $10/month off rent.
The walls are kind of thin, but the most I've ever heard from my neighbors is bass. Otherwise, the complex is really quiet! I have never heard of someone reporting a noise violation or a break-in here. I have my windows open right now and I hear nothing but airplanes and ducks!
I have checked out many apartment complexes around Winter Park- surrounding Full Sail area- and this is by far the nicest! We even have a loft upstairs with its own bathroom for guests! It is comfortable, homey, and it truely does feel like home!

Are you the manager or smoking crack? This is the worst place I've ever lived at! The place was filthy when I moved in,there were roaches everywhere, and the maint. man was always re-glueing the bathroom tiles b/c the drywall was inundated with water and they were too cheap to fix the problem. All they did was patch maint. prob's until you would shut-up and move out.

No, I don't live at Whisper Lakes.. but I have a friend who does, and she has told me very similar stories: the maintenance men are great, they got brand new appliances because the stove and dishwasher were getting old, and they have a lake front apartment.
