I lived in Whisper Lake about two and a half years and have had a few problems, but maintenance and the people who work in the office are a pleasure to deal with. They come out right away if you report a problem, and they come in your apartment every 6 months anyway, to make sure there are no problems on top of what you report.
All of my problems were just with neighbors. My apartment was flooded twice from a retard kid who left his sink on and plug in the sink during Thanksgiving break and another flooding his toilet right before he left for Thanksgiving, also.
Rent doesn't go up $100 every month, if you choose a shorter lease, although, the lease will go up.
The apartments are pretty big for a 1 bedroom, but everything's pretty outdated unless you ask for all new things. Don't think your apartment is going to look as great as the show apartment.
The only thing that sucks is one bedrooms don't have connections for a washer or dryer, but the lofts and two bedrooms do. To use the apartment complex's washer and dryer, you need to put money on a card in the front office, which cost $1.25 to wash a load and $1.25 to dry a load. You can only put money on your card during office hours, so make sure you have enough and you stay with your laundry, or you have money to do your laundry again. A bunch of dumb people will stop your laundry thinking it's theirs, and then don't press the button to start it again, so your things won't be dried.
Other than that, for a Full Sail student, it's the best and safest in the area. There is crime, but it's nowhere close to as bad as in other apartment complexs, and it's just because people know Full Sail students have a lot of expensive gear in their apartments, and this complex is mostly Full Sail students.

As long as "your" a Full Sail student? Don't you mean "you are" a Full Sail student??? But then again, the ignorant apartment manager who wrote this BS-filled review would welcome Full Sail students because Full Sail students are the only people who would tolerate poor management and maintenance services.
If YOU ARE NOT a Full Sail student... RUN!!! Take YOUR money and RUN!!!

Awww...I'm sorry when I wrote this it was late and I made ONE spelling error. And why would the apartment manager write a review that is less than perfect? I wrote about my problems, I wrote about how sucky the washer and dryer ---- is, and I wrote about the crime. Would they write about that? I don't think so.
And second of all, I was a Full Sail student, you ----tard. I took Show Production and Touring and the Music Business Bachelors degree. If you would like, go to the Show Production teachers and ask them if they remember a girl named Katie with pink hair.
I had tons of friends that lived at all of the apartments within a decent vicinity of Full Sail, and every single one of them wished they had rented with Whisper Lake because of all of their problems with their apartments.
You're probably just one of those little whiney, bitchy rich kids that thinks if you didn't get EVERYTHING your way at the apartment complex that everybody else that actually liked it is insane.
Maybe YOU'RE another complex manager that's just trying to get people to avoid the place.
Man, if you even ask Full Sail when you start going there, they suggest Whisper Lake more than any other apartment complex because so many kids have given positive feedback.
You're pathetic.

Well said Katie. Both in the review and in the response. I'm also a Full Sail student currently in Game Dev. As far as I'm concerned Whisper Lake is by far the best around. Yes the appliances are older but honestly I couldn't care less. I would trade pretty new stainless steel appliances for a nicer apartment where I can actually leave my car sitting in the parking lot without worrying any day. Also, it is true that the laundry situation can be annoying but it's a minor thing. My only complaint is I had no hot water for a couple of days one time. It happened right before the inspections so I left them a note because I had class. When I got back there was a note saying they would be back later that day to take care of it. They didn't show up and with my crazy class schedule and a worthless roommate it took a couple days to get back to the main office and tell them about it. Once I did though it took less than 10 minutes for the maintenance guy to come over and fix it. He was very nice and apologized repeatedly. I've been here almost 8 months now and those were the only 2 bad days I've had here. Definitely recommended to any and all potential renters.
