i lived at WPO for a year. it was my first apartment on my own and at first i was really very pleased. but as the year progressed my innocence wore off and i saw the place from a better perspective. the office staff is slow and incompetent. not to mention very unfriendly towards a young adult like myself. i put in a work order to have my shower fixtures replaced (they were coming out of the wall and always made a high pitched noise as the shower ran) only to be told that all the fixtures were that way and there was nothing to be done. as far as safety, the community is not gated, but crime had not seemed to be a problem. however, a couple months before i moved out a neighbor and his girlfriend tried to kill each other during the wee hours of the morning, resulting in many cops and lots of noise. also, because there are so many older residents in this income restricted complex, expect fire trucks and ambulances to arrive at *least* once a week to care for these tenents. i lived in my apartment for 1 year, *alone* and was complained on several times by a neighbor without actually having done any wrongs. i know it may sound like a cop-out, but really, i was very quiet and always had to work early in the morning, therefore i went to bed early most nights. however, i was never notified by management of the complaints made against me, and therefore could not take any action to rectify any problems until i recieved a warning taped to my front door.

so please, just be warned, though the community is quiet and generally peaceful, management is highly incompetant and uncommunicative towards the residents.

also, the apts are REALLY small. you can get much larger apts nearby for only a 100 or so more a month.

PS i moved out a month ago and was told my deposit was on it's way back to me.............still haven't recieved it. another sign of incompetant management.
