I lived at Woodbridge for about 3 years. It was my first apartment so I did not know much about the way an apartment complex is supposed to be run. When I first moved in it was a great place. Slowly it went down hill. The problems seemed to start when a disgruntled maintance man burned down the office in the middle of the night. There was no "real office" and no pool for about a year. After that was overcome they started to redo all the buildings. That was real pleasant to live through. There were holes in all my walls. You could not have anything on the walls and no stereo's,TV's, etc. Could be set up because the insane hammering knocked them over. I actually came home one night during the construction at about 11pm to my front door and my patio door unlocked and all the blinds in my apartment were open. The excuse I was given was that they were in there to start repairing the holes in the walls and forgot to lock the doors. . To add insult to injury After they were all done. The rent went up $50.00 a month to compensate for the new patios. As far as I am concerned they could of kept them.
Nothing was ever fixed in the apartment. They had to put a whole in one of my shower walls to fix a leak and I had to live with a black garbage bag over for six months. the final straw was the flood. I again came home at about 10pm to several inches of water in my kitchen and my one bathroom off of the kitchen. I called maintance 10 times, then had to givve up and go and knock on the door of his apartment to find out from his wife that he was either at his other job or out partying, but she was not sure which one. Thank GOD the people upstairs from me were great and came down to see me when I got home. They told me their water heater boke at about 1pm and they asked the off ice to reach me, but that was not done. I had 4 different numbers on file for emergencies and they did not call one of them. The nexty day i found out that they did not even go ionto my apt. Until 4:30pm My ceiling was all busted out, water was running down the walls and there was water every where. I must say the worst part of that ordeal was that they locked my poor cat in my other bedroom with no food,water or litter box. They did not make an attempt to fix anything until I called out OSHA and the Dept. of Hotels and Restaurants. After that they were bustinG their butts to fix it all. as far as the parking lot flooding it is true I lived up front and i had to leave for work by 5am. Several times it was so bad taht I would go out with my broom in my dress vlothes and have to unclog the drains on both sides and went for the level to go down. Thankfully I moved into Oxford Square and got to experience what real apartment living is supposed to be like. They make you feel like family. I am now in the apartment business and would be embarrased to be the manager of Woodbridge
