I too have lived here since 2001 and will be signing my second lease. I also received a steep increase but weighed my options. Kristen in the office was very helpful in helping me make a decision to STAY. I love my apartment and to move I would have to pay my own water which is VERY expensive in the Winter Park area and could be around $45.00 a month. My cable would no longer be free and that would be another $50.00 per month. I also would have to go to a laundry mat and wash clothes. In addition to a super fitness center there is a very nice pool and tennis which is lighted to play at night. Maintenance has always serviced my repairs the same day or within 24 hours. Not sure if I would get that anywhere else. I have referred several of my friends and the leasing staff cleaned my carpet and sent me a pizza with cokes as a thank you. Cool place to live.
