Well, I've been here for pretty much exactly two years. I've had my share of anger at the complex, but for the most part it's a good place to live.
I'm going to start off by saying that I am a college student and being in a quiet neighborhood was important to me. There are no loud parties, I can barely hear my neighbors (only when they drop something heavy), and I've never had a problem with kids. Single parent families, small families, and college students seem to make up this place. The kids are never running around being obnoxious and the college students tend to keep to themselves.
I've never felt unsafe. Each and every apartment has a light by their front door which lights the path to my apartment. There are never people randomly just hanging around outside (If people are outside at all, they are on their screened in porch). I've heard of a car that got broken into and an apartment that had something stolen from it, but the car that got broken into nothing was stolen and I'm pretty sure it was someone he knew and the apartment that had something stolen he use to have parties that didn't get loud but had a lot of people, so I'm pretty sure it was probably someone from a party. I, personally, have never had anything stolen or broken into.
The woman who runs the office is very nice and tries hard to get you what you need. Maintenance is always nice and friendly, even though they might have to return several times to fix something.
The most awful thing that's happened to me here is that my apartment has leaked many, many times due to water heaters getting old. Neighbor's next to me, neighbor's above me, mine. It's not fun to deal with, but they do fix it. I called emergency maintenance at 2AM and he came over and shop vac'd my carpet so it didn't get moldy. Even left a giant fan to dry the carpet. It was annoying, but it was only for a night and it's better than the carpet getting mold. I did have a problem with mold in the walls after all of the leaks, but once I figured out it was the mold that was making me sick I told the office and they took down 3 walls and replaced them (in one day), and I got better.
Basically, any problem I've had was fixed quickly and professionally. Oh, and I noticed a few people were complaining about parking. Parking is horrendous at the front of the complex, but if you live in the back of it like I do, you NEVER have to worry about parking, there are always a million spots to choose from. The complex even admits this. I had to move from New Jersey and pick a place without even seeing it first. The woman in the front office told me, when I had my choice of two apartments one in front and one in back, that the back had more parking and it's congested in the front. So it's not like they hide it.
