Where do I start'

When I moved in (when Shadow Creek first opened) this was a nice place. Beautiful scenery, great amenities, etc. It was a little high priced but I believed it was worth it because it really looked like a resort rather than an apartment complex.

They've since changed personnel, and the place is so far down the tubes I'm right now surfing the web to find somewhere else to live.

The hallways are constantly dirty. There are stains everywhere, there's always trash lying around, and it looks like the lawn maintenance company has never heard of using a blower to get the grass off the sidewalk after cutting it.

I have not seen the pest control people in over a year. Great, I love spiders, especially when I'm lying in bed and I see them on the ceiling.

How about those gates' They never work.

When I moved in they had a great security guy (an Oviedo police officer) but he, sadly, moved and does not work here anymore. He was very nice and polite, not like the people they have out there now, all the time harassing people and yelling at them. They actually consider you tresspassing if you don't have a gate card. So if I meet up with a friend at McDonalds and say "follow me to my place," he's got to pull up and wait for me to go through the gate, drive to my building, park, go up to my apartment, and then he can call me from the main gate to open it. If he just follows me in he's "tresspassing" and the security already told us once that we only get one warning and the next time we go to jail... ''''!'!''

Oh, and they are building a Wal Mart right beside this place. RIGHT BESIDE it. And the word on the street is that it is going to be painted the same colors as the apartments. So basically it looks like we live in "The Wal-Mart Apartment Complex." What the '''!'''

The worst thing about it is the new personnel. I can understand they are dragging their butts here and there with certain issues, but they don't have to be rude. The people here are all VERY rude to you. It's like they are nice until you sign that lease, and then it's all over. "Welcome to Apartment Hell." You would think that they would be a little understanding when you come in with a problem, but instead they just treat you like you are an idiot, they actually raise their voices at you and talk down to you.

I am very disappointed that a 1 bedroom apartment that costs me almost $900 / month is such a hell hole. (I think the rent is cheaper now for some people but I'm locked into a lease, and I've been here since they first opened.)

I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Or do me a favor and come over here, take a tour, and then say "no thanks, this place looks like hell and you are very rude." Then leave and go across the street where you can get the same thing for $300 less a month.
