It's okay for the most part...

I do agree with all of the previous reviews. I have my complaints about the complex. Maybe I shouldn't settle but I try to keep my expectations at a reasonable level. It is apartment living after all, it's not going to be perfect. That being said, this is the only apartment complex I've ever lived in, so maybe my opinion doesn't count, maybe there are perfect complexes out there. I do find myself being frusterated with other tenants in the complex more than the management. I see the poor maintenance guy working tirelessly to clean up after other people's stupidity. People need to take a little pride in their surroundings and be responsible for their own actions. People spill their garbage all over by the dumpster and let it pile up and leave stacks of boxes instead of taking the time to actually put them in the trash compactor. I went to the mailbox today and someone have taken all their junkmail and just thrown it on the ground. Totally tasteless. People leave their nasty cigarette butts laying around. FIND AN ASHTRAY PEOPLE! One lady was smoking a cigarette in the pool yesterday, making out with her boyfriend who was drinking a beer, while her unattended kid was pushing people into the pool against their will. Seriously, grow up. When you move in there is a list of rules that you have to agree to, but there is absolutely ZERO enforcement. Another thing that is irritating is the fact that this is a gated community, however the gates are almost always left open. Some poor lady had her intoxicated husband who she was separated from walk right in and harass her and her kids. That wouldn't have happened if the security that is offered was a reality. With all that said, I like my individual apartment. It's spacious and new. However when I did first move in, despite the place being brand new, the builders had tracked Georgia clay all over the tan carpet and left debris all over the floors. After I cleaned it up (I had to leave the last place I lived in clean when I left, I would have liked not to have done more cleaning to the place I was moving into.) it was okay. My immediate neighbors are respectable and aren't trashy like some people in here. They had a great move-in special of three months of free rent, so that's what sold me on the place. If it wasn't for that I don't know if I would have been beating down the door to live here. But it's okay,I try to stick to myself and not interact too much with the office staff or expect too much and it's been working for me so far. I would recommend it if the person moving in was able to do the same.
