I moved from Canton in Dec 2003. There have been a few issues and problems, but it's a far better place than what I had.

I am deathly allergic to cigarette smoke, and had a problem with smoke oozing up from the apartment below via a pipe in the AC closet. Maintenance cheerfully fixed it with absolutely no attitude whatsoever, once I told them I'd been vomiting the last few days, at the time. It still stinks on occasion, and there may be yet another leakage to be dealt with, but it's significantly better. Plugging this pipe in every apartment would be a big help in keeping nasty smoke where it belongs.

There IS a mold problem, and in my apartment it's mainly caused by poor insulation around the windows, and poor quality windows period. In my case, it was taken care of with a dab of Windex or Clorox.

One thing management really needs to do is get serious about littering...I still have a memo somewhere about tossing cigarette butts all over the place, and that needs to be immediately dealt with, to the tune of tossing people out of here. There are some who apparently just don't "get it", and obviously need a little help seeing the light.

Overall, the rules ARE pretty much observed, and most folks are respectable...so far. It's always a few that tarnishes it for the many. I really like the free car wash/vacuum AND the exercise room....neither of which did I have in the last apartment I lived in for 6 years.

For me this has been a decent value, though not earth-shattering, in a full-market apartment property. I'm actually paying about $50 less than someone would pay for a similar apartment at the tax credit property next door !!!
