My suggestion would be FIND ANOTHER PLACE!

Overall, I am an unhappy resident for many reasons but I cannot afford to live anywhere else. The rent here is very low compared to other complexes nearby. Basically, as a previous comment said...you get what you pay for! The entire management and maintenance staff has changed since I signed my first lease here several years ago. The first management and maintenance team was wonderful. They were personable and responded almost immediately when you had any issues. The newest team members are less than adequate. I have seen so many moving trucks moving people out the past three or four months and only one new resident moving in...I think anybody could come along and get a great deal to move in because they are probably struggling to get occupants. The buildings and surrounding grounds are really old and not taken care of very well...so there are many resulting issues that are not taken care of immediately or sometimes not at all by those that oversee the needs of the buildings. Some buildings have been said to have mold growing in the ceilings, the gutters have not been cleaned one time since I have lived here, and I know of many neighbors who have needed repairs that have not been done properly. The HVAC duct systems are in desperate need of cleaning which is horrible for anyone with allergies. Fireplaces should be cleaned every couple of years according to research I have done and mine has not been cleaned one time. The local fire marshall says that fire extinguishers should be checked yearly...mine never has been checked. Upon moving in they make you sign papers to follow local fire safety laws but then do not enforce them if you break the laws. There is a high population of people living here on a free ticket from must ministries. One neighbor of mine is less than worthy of her free ticket. She is a theif and an acholic. I have had two neighbors that had people coming and going at all hours of the day and night. I am sure there were some drug deals happening with those neighbors. We had three apartment fires in a short period of time in 2006, one of which was related to the wiring in the apartment, one was started by a resident on accident, and the other was ruled as arson. Basically, any apt you move into is going to have pros and cons, but if you can afford to live somewhere else...I would advise you to do so because the cons are plentiful here at Waldan.
