Nice Location, Nice Staff, near Big Creek Greenway.

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
Pros:
1. Nice, professional staff
2. Good maintenance
3. Beautiful property
4. Easy access to Hiking Trails
5. Nice fitness center
6. Easy access to restaurants and Mall.
7. Good price and available garage space for rent.
Cons:
1. Thin floors make for lots of walking noise from upstairs neighbors... but this is in any apartment complex.
2. Too many kids live in the complex
3. Too many residents with large, agressive dogs who do not have them under control or clean up after them.
4. Short term leases mean that moving trucks are always in and out of the complex
Alara recently purchased this apartment complex and I was worried. But since the change over, the staff has been very professional, maintenance is responsive and does what needs to be done to fix your issue. The apartment has also been doing many upgrades and renovations to the landscaping and installing sidewalks everywhere.
I love the fact that I can cross the street and walk/bike/hike the Alpharetta Greenway!
I also love the fact that I can hop in my car and be at Target, the mall or a number of restaurants in about 30 seconds, but I'm not living in the middle of all the mall traffic.
They do credit and background checks on all prospective residents.
Many residents do not obey the leash laws and don't clean up properly after their dogs. As in any apartment, the lower floors get a lot of noise from the apartments above.
The staff is on top of things and has sent several notices to residents about leash laws and cleaning up after pets... I also have a Courtesy Officer living in my building.
