I lived at Amli Milton park for a little over two years in two different apartments. On the surface, the apartments look nice but they were shoddily built and I had many issues throughout the time I lived there. My refrigerator broke (they did credit me for food lost), water leaked from the upstairs apartment's AC and my own AC leaked and flooded my carpet. The walls had cracks in them as well. To be fair, they always repaired everything as soon as possible but for an apartment that is fairly new, the issues should never have happened. One of the maintenance guys (who no longer works there) confirmed my suspicions that they were constructed poorly and that they were constantly having to fix things.

I paid for upgraded cherry cabinets that were all scratched (bathrooms and kitchen) and the fake wood floor had a piece missing from it and was bubbling up in places. The bathroom mirror had water damage on the bottom of it and looked really bad. The drains in the bathtub were fairly gross as well. None of this warranted a reduction in the money I was paying for the "upgraded look."

Both apartments had mold and mildew issues, in fact when I went back to clean my apartment after moving out, I noticed a distinct mildew smell that I guess I had gotten used to while I was living there.

Like all apartments, you hear your neighbors above you..

My biggest complaint is the $100 (which has now been raised to $150) cleaning fee which I didn't feel I deserved since I was told that I only needed to surface clean but was then charged because I didn't clean the oven. And they also charged me to replace carpet despite there being stains on it when I moved in. Oh and the water bill was exorbitant, you pay (in addition to your rent) 4.99 for garbage (plus 3.50 service charge) and my water bills averaged $40.00 a month on top of that with one person living in the apartment.

One last peeve, they raised my rent each and every time the lease was up for renewal and since I signed two six months leases at one point, I was already paying the top rate for the apartment, this didnt stop them from trying to ask for more, Im afraid if I had stayed there much longer they would have tried to charge me $2000 for an apartment that starts around $1100.

The lake is nice and most of the staff is friendly but this complex will nickel and dime you every step of the way if they can get away with it.
