Not impressed with management

I currently live here, and have lived here several months. The grounds are nice and the neighborhood seems safe. However, since day 1 I have not been impressed with the management or the way that AMLI corporate treats their residents. A week before I moved in I was told about extra fews that I would have to pay--fees that were not quoted in my rental rate. These fees--gate card, sewer, trash, and vague "administrative fee" for breaking out your utilities--increased my rent by $15/month--something that I would like to have know when I was shopping around for apartments. A month after I moved in, I was told they lost my lease, and I would have to sign a new one. I had kept a copy of the lease (which I had notarized), but that was not good enough for them. They wanted to waste my time signing a new lease. Everytime I call the office I get voice mail (during regular business hours) and they seem to be understaffed. I guess this is another means by which AMLI corporate makes money--by not hiring enough staff. Furthermore, the ovens in the apts. are a piece of crap--my neighbor's caught fire, and I returned one night to a firetruck in the parking lot. My own oven is currently not working, either--at least I have a microwave. I loved my old apt. complex and have given them a good rating on this Website (Archstone Brentwood in Nashville, TN), so I don't just try to post negative feedback. However, since I continue to be underwhelmed by this AMLI, I thought I would post.
