Not So Great...

If you only want to stay a year and don't need anything from the office, it is fine, otherwise look somewhere else. My renewal notice recently came, and they want to increase my rent $150 per month! When I asked the leasing office about this, they said that, "This is our new policy, we don't negotiate rent prices when you move in, so why would we negotiate with current residences'" In other words, we already got you here, so we are going to increase your rent as much as we can so we can make a few more bucks off of you. The leasing office staff is horrible. They will accept packages for you, but if they can't find your package in their storage room within 30 seconds, they just look at you with a dumbfounded face and say, "I don't see it, but you can look for yourself." Of course, it is there, but they are too lazy to sort things properly and take the time to find it for you. Noise isn't bad now, but I used to have some college kids living in the unit under my apartment, and the noise was really bad. Their unruly behavior was reported to management, but the late night noise continued. Management even had the nerve to say, "No one else around you is complaining about it." Once, again, this highlights their great customer service. If something goes wrong, like the water being cut to your building or to the whole community, don't think that they will tell you about it a head of time, or even pick up their phones when you call to ask about it. The only way to get any information from them is to trek over to the leasing office in person. Oh yes, and the grounds. I have no idea what the grounds people do, but one of the things that they don't do is check to make sure there are doggie bags in the dispensers. They will be empty for a week or more before they are replaced, so when you go get your mail, you must be really careful where you step. The guys that they contract to cut the grass moved the picnic bench into the bushes, and never moved it back. It was in the bushes for 2 weeks, where were the grounds people then' They have changed their "Early Lease Termination" section, so that instead of giving 60 day notice and paying one month's rent as "liqidated damages" to break the lease, the process is not specified in the lease, so they could change the terms of early termination at any time. Also, know that there is a $10 service fee added to your electric bill every month, they won't tell you about that before you move in. OK, for the good, it is a great location, very close to GA400, Northpoint Mall, and Publix. It is a fairly new community, so there are nice features like walk in closets and garden tubs (though the fixtures are cheap and they did not use mold resistant caulk in the bathroom, so it is very hard to keep clean). I do feel safe here. All and all, if you move here, just don't expect any customer service and make sure you are a sound sleeper.

Safe?? Don't take my word for it, ask the Alpharetta Police Department RIGHT NEXT TO AMLI about that: They will tell you of the extensive vehicle vandalism, break-ins, armed robberies, etc.

Don't take my word for it - ask the Police. Safe?? Not hardly (Unless you grew up in the projects or something)

i agree i lived in the building right next to the police department for 3 years i came outside to see 3 chevy tahoe suv's pull up and over 10 swat team guys with shields run outa them into the other hallway of my building. not to mention the child molestor or break in during 2006. course that can happen at any complex but i didn't feel that safe after that.
