I had the smallest apartment and started at $635 a month than renewed 3 times with each time my rent going up. i left this past december when my rent was going to be upped $90 to $840 for a 690 sq ft apartment. yes i loved the location but it was not worth that price. i chose to move to another apartment 1 mile away. when asked about the rent increase i was told it was a new policy set by there coporate office and i shouldn't feel bad because some peoples rents were being raised $200 so $90 isn't bad. yeah that made me feel alot better. NOT. cute apartment. great maintenace but a $200 ($635 to $840 when i left) increase a month in 3 years for a resident who never paid rent late is not fair and seemed too much. the people above me were loud very loud and you could hear everything. they built the place so quick it is not insulated well. that was my 2nd major problem. i had someone that blasted music on the other side of my living room wall and complained about it several times finally i had to go over there myself as the office staff never took care of the problem. also i lived on the first floor and was very clear but got alot of spiders sneaking in from who knows where. however they are good at having an exterminator come to your apartment whenever you want. it was an okay place if you don't mind hearing other people next to or above you. my new apartment is older but much better at noise reduction and still in great location. i did however get all my deposit back when i moved out which i was pleased at. just beware your rent will go up when renewal time comes.
