Addison Place

I have been here for 4-years. I have a lot of space and for Alpharetta I have a reasonable price. The grounds and service calls are top drawere - these guys are great. Roberts defnitely has thought about the little things when he designed/built Addison. But he knows nothing about peopple. He can't seem to keep his staff here. We had a gentleman for a while and he was good. But the past year we have a lot of turn over which makes me and many other residents very uncomfortable. It's like each new manager has the need to educate us-the tenants who have been here far longer than you-about what is acceptable and what is not. But I hear that Roberts doesn't care if his managers do a good job or not - he cares if they suck up to him. The christmas party was top drawer but that was because you had a classy manager - now what do we have' She has no time for us - I have seen her walk away from people, heard her yelling at people (I was in the business center and she was in the clubhouse). She is not sincere and she lies to your face to get you to leave. I will NOT be renewing this year because you have not and do not creat luxury lifestyles or communities. By the way where's the rest of the fence Mr. Money Bags'

I have been at Addison 2 years and you are right on the money. The manager lately - not so impressed; didn't have too much need to meet the one before, Kelli, but I only heard good things about her. And why is there so much turn over here? Sounds like the rumors about the owner are true. My lease is up in May and I have already given my notice.

My guess is the semi-annual filter change was just to find pets and satisfy one loud mouth. I just moved in recently and have a dog over 40 lbs. No apartment takes this size dog so if you are renting you don't have much choice. (I did pay a pet deposit) But Addison's policy is even more restrictive at no more than 20 lbs. Our decision to come here was in part based upon the larger dogs we observed during our multiple visits to the property so we thought we might be okay. Now we move in and have a problem. (I think there should be apartments that allow larger dogs - families should have some choice). Well I understand they are contacting multiple families about this situation and it's not just the size of the animal there was a letter last week about multiple pet problems. Obviously someone and I bet it was one or at most two people are causing all these problems for mutliple families. Now they have told us we have to move or get rid of the dog. My dog is sweet and does not bark much at all except a quip or two when he gets excited about a walk. He poses no threat. The complainer has not even met my dog. My dog is an important family member and had we not found a responsible owner to care for our dog during our time here, we would have moved again and been willing to pay the penalies. Sadly the apartment complex would have lost money and now altough I really like it here, and had thought perhaps I will stay a few years if my kids like the schools rather than pay the higher price of an Alpharetta home. But now they will have lost multiple years potential income as well know as the folks above and probably the other families with larger dogs and by indications above probaby multiple income streams due to a few complainers. These complainers are either highly scared of animals - and by the sounds of it all animals and should get a grip(fyi - my dog is cute short and very friendly and loving - no way a threat to anyone and by many definitions is not a large dog at all)or is an evil mean-spirited person who has nothing better to do but selfishly reak havoac on families. Quite frankly it would be cheaper to lose the complainer than lose all these other wonderful long term tenants. Also both my neighbors are quite loud and perhaps I should be just as inconsiderate and cause lots of trouble. However, I will address the problem directly if it continues rather than hide behind management and menice in peoples' lives.

Well thank you for all of these reviews and comments about Addison. I now know I will not be moving to Addison Place. I thought it looked great but I refuse to live in an apt complex that has problems with management and or pets. If you can't have someone who can help you or live in harmony then it's not worth it. Sorry Addison, you've lost a potential candidate!

Sounds like someone should have paid for there pet. How can you come on here and grip about the fact that you lied??? Addison Place is the nicest property in the area and you are turning away other good residents by writing your petty problems

I just visited this web site today b/c I had to look up the phone number. You, Anonymous 08/09/07, have missed the point completely! I did not have the dog when I signed the lease agreement. In fact I was only supposed to be "dog sitting" for a friend who happens (happened) to be off to Iraq so he obviously could not take his precious little girl with him (the dog I mean). Well, the unthinkable happened and now I am the mommy of his precious 4 legged family member. Although I digress. The real issue here is that management/staff turn over is a very big problem here at Addison place. Just now when I called the office after finding the number on line a new employee answered the phone. She was new - I asked her. The issue is that we as tenants do not like our privacy invaded, recorded, noted, etc. under the guise of "filter replacement". It is no coincidence that at least three tenants received eviction letters around the same time because of their pets and at least one tenant (Anonymous 04/05/07) had to make a heartbreaking decision to part with their dog or face huge penalties for breaking the lease. For me the deposit was not a problem. What is a problem is that now management has 2 deposits - security/cleaning and pet - of which they get to keep a portion right off the top as nearly 1/3 of that money is non refundable. My adopted pet has NEVER had an accident. In fact she is cleaner and leaves much less of a mess than my DAUGHTER! Thank heaven I didn't have to put a deposit down for her too:-). In summation; I do not like to be "spied" on whenever the management changes, which is way too frequently. I also do not like being forced to deal with a manager that is substandard and cares more about bringing in the bucks than putting out the welcome mat. Call me crazy, but I cherish my privacy and find it reprehensible that strangers enter my place of residence under false pretenses. One last comment to you - if anyone decides not to rent here solely because of my comments what kind of substance would that potential neighbor bring to the community? And - if it is true that anyone decides not to live here due to my post please let me know. If I can influence that many people simply by the written word then I will seriously look into a career in politics!! I hear it's pretty slim pickin's for this upcoming Presidential election!!! Maybe I can put my hat in the ring under the "Fair Housing for People with Pet's" ticket :-)
