Some of us can remember the Archstones as providing some of the best customer service for its price range and size. It has deteriated considerably since the buy-out. The staff people at the Archstones are not motivated and basically don't care....maybe an internal morale problem...or maybe Archstone can't attract people who take pride in their jobs and performance. It's not just State Bridge, but the Archstone corporation that is expressing decline. Whatever has created this "don't care" attitude, be it the buy-out or economics,or whatever happened over the first 3-4 years of operation, what could have continued to be a successful housing entity has fallen from its lofty perch. Is it better than some' No doubt, but if the decline continues, Archstone's reputation will continue to decline and more revenue lost due to not attracting the people who will spend the money for higher levels of service and environments. The environment needs people who are willing to expend the energy to make it what it once was. Otherwise, it just attracts those whose values do not build but destroy: People who are inconsiderate of the rights of others.

I totally agree with what the last posting said about people who are inconsiderate of the rights of others. I just moved there in May of 2006 and all I have to say is the kids run that place, and their terrible parents are not inclined to do anything about them because they seem to know that management will not do anything about it. I come home pretty much ever night to trash in the breezeway and noisy unruly children runnng around in the courtyard sometimes until 10:30 or 11:00 at night! I have complained to the management about this, but I get a seemingly carefree response, and one person even had the nerve to tell me that "kids are gonna be kids". I find that completely unacceptable when there are actions they can take to remedy the problem. I am totally disappointed and frustrated at the situation and wish I had never moved here. For the most part the people who live here are fine, but there is definitely an undesirable "element" that makes its presence well known in what would otherwise be a good community. My final thought: If I wanted to live in the projects or a trailor park, I would have chosen to do so, and I would be paying a LOT less!!
