It's ironic that the first of the core values Archstone lists is "Honesty and Ethics." Nothing could be further from the truth. Do not trust any of the pricing you see on any of the websites; rent.com, forrent, myplace. All of them are lower than what they will charge you. I received my renewal and my increase is $125. That would make my rent anywhere from $60 to $75 more than what is being advertised. When I went in to discuss this with the manager, she said she would look into it and get back to me. I waited a couple of days, and when I didn't hear back from her I checked the Archstone website again, and this time there was no pricing and no availability. The company manipulates the availability status and the pricing to suit their predictor pricing practices. I have also contacted the state offices to report False Advertising.

AMLI at one time was a highly rated property, as was one of Archstone's properties. But in the last few years all complexes in the atlanta area have been reduced to "dumps" and crime-ridden, except for just a few. It takes threats of lawsuits to get anything done. There isn't enough decent housing in Atlanta to accommodate everyone. With the rise of property values, via the government so-called public servants, we are seeing the consequences not only of unrealistic values, but the increase in crime in rental communities. When people get tired of this trend, maybe they will begin holding the owners and governmetn leadership responsible for a lack of morality and respect for the citizenry. It's your call.

Archstone is the worst complex I've ever lived in. Once my lease is up in Sept 2007~ I'm OUT!!

Then don't live there!!! Most of the people I know there love it...Just remember, you get what you pay for...there is a reason some places are so much cheaper!
