Hello,
I am relocating to Atlanta soon. Currently I am in the process of searching a good apartment complex for me and my family. My focal point in the apartment search is good schooling for my children who go to elementary school. I am searching for a 3 bedroom single level apartment or townhome in an apartment complex which is safe, with decent amenities, bug free, good maintenance, no hidden fees, etc. This place is among my top choice. However, with such disparate views from the residents of this apartment community I am really confused. I seek feedback from my would-be fellow neighbors. Please advice whether I should rent an apartment here'
Cheers!!

Alara is not the same complex as Archstone Windward. Archstone Windward is a wonderful place to live. Family-oriented community sitting on the Golf Club of Georgia. This is a quiet community. Close proximity to shopping, schools and restaurants. The management is wonderful. If I had children I would choose this community. Most evenings when the weather is nice, families are seen strolling through the community. Nice pool, tennis courts and clubhouse.

Alara Northpoint, Alpharetta, is about 10 years old, does have occasional bugs as it is located near the forest. But the problem is easily controlled w/o pesticides. Natural products virtually eliminate the problem. These apartments are generally larger than the newer apartments. Walking distance to shopping/restaurants. Schools very close. One School just down the street, but not sure if it is elementary or middle school. Archstone owned this one, but let it run down, as it does most of its properties. Management is usually bad also. Haven't had issues at Alara: maintenance is good. Management tries to resolve issues quickly. Some people have experienced poor service, but I've been in these apartments over 6 years as well as my neighbors. Women are generally more comfortable here.
